Well R4 (MP7) airsoft electric pistol

The R4 MP7 is another great starter weapon, and the low price means that you can even give it as a gift to get your friends into airsoft ! At 50-70$, this is really a bargain.  The gun uses the same gearbox system as Cm.030, making it another member of the airsoft electric pistol family.

The gun is relatively small and can be fired with one hand. Folding foregrips make this gun fit into some large holsters, which makes taking it to the field a lot easier than it's nemesis - the VZ 61 -Scorpion.

A big advantage of this gun over other electric pistols out there is the availability of a lot of tactical rail space. This lets you mount your favorite toys:  Scopes, lasers, tracer units.

Here's an image of the real steel MP7. Note how it looks pretty cool. Same accessories would look goofy on other guns.

This is an AEP, and as such, it shoots pretty weak - 200-220 FPS at most. This makes it a CQB only weapon. I would not bring it to a woodland field as my primary weapon, but it makes a decent backup.

Priced at ~70$, this is dirt cheap.

Verdict: this is a great beginner gun. It does suffer from some performance issues, such as the stock and the hopup, but this is still a very good option for a beginner gun. Get this if you want to play airsoft around your house or participate in small close quarters skirmishes. I have seen instances where this gun was not allowed to be used in "pistols and shotguns" only games, because it doesn't look like a pistol. People think this is an AEG.
